Today I looked at the new range I have imported for mystreetthreads with the objective of breaking the drought in both boys and girls clothes in the 8-16 year age bracket. It jumped out at me immediately that my boys side whilst having less variety due to the limitation to shorts, chinos, t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts and shirts was that there was colour! Three shades of red, four shades of blue, two shades of green, block colours, tie dye, and graphics. It begs the question why don't we dress our boys in more colours, do we not care or is it that there is nothing to buy? As a mother of boys I'm often questioning myself how to bring up boys to be interested and interesting. I think a good start is for them project themselves to the world as engaged individuals. To be casual yet neat, comfortable yet sophisticated.
