How many times did we raid our Mother’s wardrobe? Now a mother herself Retail Entrepreneur Meg Tudehope often hears such laments from mothers of girls!
My Street Threads was born from a vision to create a fashion identity for the 8 year transitional phase from child to adult where childrens’ clothing designs are too “immature” and adult clothing too “mature” and considerably more expensive.
Meg Tudehope searched the globe for brands that focussed on the 10-16 year old or brands that had a seemless flow from child to adult sizings.
Meg was captivated by 2 brands, Soeur and Hartford.
Soeur, the brain child of the inspirational French Brion sisters. Domitille, former designer of Bonpoint and co founder of BONTON and sister Angelique a professional Psychologist focussed on childhood and family marketing. Both in touch with the fashion transition of girls to women joined forces to build and sell a collection adjusted to young girls.
Hartford on the other hand is an established French Brand providing timeless, classic, high quality essentials the 10-16 age group.
